Come and work with us

We are looking for outstanding level 3 practitioners with a wealth of experience to come on board with us on our exciting journey.

  • You must have a warm smiley face that makes every child feel special and loved.
  • Bring the laughter and your quirky personality remembering that children’s humour can be a confusing minefield to navigate.
  • If a child requests you to be a tooth fairy then you will hunt out the nearest tutu and wand and sprinkle the magic of make believe.
  • You don’t have to be able to sing in tune but out of tune is a must, especially in front of a crowd.
  • You must be able to distribute warm hugs when required.
  • You must be able to value the importance of a child’s findings whether it be a fairy, pebble or a snail.
  • Bring fun! Fun! and more fun leave your inhibitions at home!

Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to so many children and their families.

There is simply no other job quite like this one.

Free childcare funding

All 3 to 4-year-olds in England can get 570 hours of free childcare per year – usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year.

With recent changes to government-funded childcare you could now be eligible for 30 hours per week for 3 to 4-year-olds!

Here at Willow Tree Nursery we offer childcare places for eligible families. The new enrolment period is open now until mid-January. Remember, even if you qualify and have applied for the additional childcare already, you have to re-enrol every three months to confirm you are still eligible.

When the school bell rings…

Mornings are stressful enough just trying to get a moment to yourself to get dressed and find your keys without the school run on top. That’s why I’m delighted to announce we offer a drop off and pick up service at the following Pudsey schools:

  • Greenside Primary
  • Southroyd Primary
  • Waterloo Primary – from September 2018

This will give you flexibility to get where you need to be, and peace of mind knowing that your child is being looked after from early morning all the way through to the evening.

For example you can leave your child with us from 7am and we will ensure they get to their school on time. We will be there ready to meet them at home time, bringing them back to Willow Tree for an afternoon play and a lovely homemade meal before you come to pick them up.

Please get in touch if you would like more details about how we can help our childcare work for you.

Our banner is up!

Every journey begins with a single step.

We’re excited to announce that our banner has gone up on the old Radcliffe Lane Day Centre, which can only mean one thing: we’re ready to begin the transformation work to turn this great building into an amazing place for the children in our care to laugh, learn, discover and do!

We’ve certainly got our work cut out, from decorating and repairs to taming the slightly massive garden (if anyone fancies doing a spot of weeding get in touch, we can provide the gardening fork and wheelbarrow!)

As we make progress on the building we’ll share it here, so keep checking back to see, in the words of Farmer Duck, “how goes the work”!
